This was an extra special newborn session for me. For starters, I left my home of the San Francisco Bay Area to travel up to the Seattle area for this session! And secondly, this is my cousin’s first baby! It was also pretty special because Maya was born prematurely, and had to spend quite a few weeks in the NICU, so by the time she got to go home she was already 6 weeks old for her session. She still has a few challenges ahead, as she was diagnosed with Beckwith-Weidemann Syndrome, but she is doing very well at home and her parents are total rockstars! So glad I was able to get up to see her and photograph her and her parents 🙂
